Uninvited Cohabitants

Have you ever woken up in the middle of the night to rustling sounds and movements in your apartment?

Have you noticed gnaw marks on household items ?

Then you have an uninvited roommate.

They  are usually drawn  to cluttered spaces, because of the abundance of cardboard, paper, cloth, cotton, insulation, and any other material that can be molded, gnawed, or shredded as nesting materials to create a safe, out-of-the-way home.

They are not known to be very shy, as they sometimes have been known to make unscheduled appearances while we have family and friends over, causing a lot of embarrassing moments and explanations.

Do you want to know how to tackle this??

We have the answers …

Sharing your home with ‘uninvited guests’, especially when they don’t know their boundaries. Getting rid of them effectively will require Fumigation.

Fumigation is the process of disinfecting or purifying an area with the fumes of certain chemicals. This works for all kinds of household pests and rodents, and is highly effective. This process is usually carried out by trained professionals and is easily affordable.

There are also steps we need to take in order to keep the little intruders from returning.

  • Keep all food items stored in the appropriate containers. Uncovered food is the greatest attraction for rodents.

  • Keep the house free of materials that can be used to build nests. Clothing and paper which are not in immediate use should be stored neatly, and checked regularly to ensure that the rodents haven’t nested there.

  • Check for possible entry points around the house and ensure that they are blocked or sealed.

  • Quiet places attract rodents. Ensure that unused rooms and spaces are regularly cleaned and rearranged. This reduces the chances of rodents hiding there.

Keeping your home rodent free is not an impossible task. Let’s take our homes back.
